Our spring seminar tackles
the difficult and topical issue of disaster planning. Many museums and heritage railways have disaster or emergency plans
to cope with calamities like fire and flood and the day will include a presentation from Harwell Disaster Recovery services,
two recent case studies and a session dealing with the challenges of working with insurers. In the current uncertain financial
climate, members will also have the opportunity to debate some of the other business-linked risks associated with running
heritage organisations that might threaten their livelihoods.
Speakers will include: Harwell Disaster Recovery Services, Colin Gregory - Mid Hants Railway, Malcolm Temple - Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway, Derek Barnes - British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. The seminar will be held on Friday 6 May at the Milestones Museum, Basingstoke. For a booking form, please contact: Tim Bryan, ABTEM Secretary: tbryan9@heritage-motor-centre.co.uk ![]() |
